FriendsF4R is about enabling young disabled people to share experiences and advice for collaborative research across different countries and circumstances

In February 2023, the first meetings to establish the FriendsF4R network took place. Young people from UCan and RIP:STARS in the UK drew on their experiences of collaborative research to reach out to peers in Zimbabwe, Uganda, Australia and Japan.

Meet our groups here:

We reflect on marginalisation and set research agendas. Initial funding from UKRI AHRC supported young people-led micro projects, enabling the sharing of personal and research experiences and advice from collaborative research across different countries and circumstances.

Through working together, amplifying the voices of young disabled people and creating impact strategies through our international networking, we will generate evidence to strengthen rights to inform policymaking.
